I’ve had a better experience with AT&T Fiber than Google Fiber. Over the course of 1 year with ATT we never had a single outtage. With Google Fiber since October we’ve had 4 outtages lasting several hours/days. I had Comcast before. Comcast was fine but the gigabit fiber is way more consistent. If I had a choice I’d go fiber over cable anytime. AT&T may own the lines but the support on the backend is the most important part. A lot of the fiber is owned by AT&T but I'd never use them for just having piss poor support even at the business level.The one and only difference is xfinity charged for "unlimited data" for the internet and at&t and cemt do not. I have gig speed right now (through at&t right now) and it's $80 a month. It was the same through xfinity and it's the same through cemt. I would say to give it some time and do a real world challenge. Unplug your xfinity, rely on tmobile only and give it a few weeks/month. That will be the best way to know if "it's worth it" or not.
